The year is 1995 and javascript is introduced initially on a Netscape Browser by Brendan Eich.

As a computer programmer Brendan Eich was working for Netscape communication and initially this programming language was called Mocha and later renamed LiveScript and finally JavaScript.

The Java story starts a few years earlier when " The Green Team " is assembled. Their task is called "the Green Project". They were contracted by Sun to locate the future trend or computer technology wave.

The Green Project members counted 13 and this was 1991. Their research showed that the next computer generation would see a merger of computer and digitally controlled consumer devices.

The teams task was not about developing a new computer language but the study did lead to the development of a new software programming tool. StarSeven with it's mascot Duke, the Green Team technology character was used to introduce the new software language.

*7 or StarSeven had been programmed in a language called "Oak" which was invented by a member of the Green Team called James Gosling. Initially the products written in this new computer language were not meant for the internet. The team was trying to hit the cable TV market but found no real success.

They shifted their focus to the internet which was just beginning to take off.

By 1995 Gosling and John Gage of Sun enter into communications that would lead to the introduction of the Java source code on the Internet in March of 1995. Within a few months people all over the world are downloading this new internet technology.

According to knowledgerush.com there is no real relationship between Java and javascript. " JavaScript is an object oriented scripting language originally developed by Netscape Communication......and it is given a syntax closer to that of Sun Microsystems' Java language....Microsoft calls their version JScript."

Both languages are well accepted on the WWW.

One major use of client side 1995 Javascript introduced on netscape browser and later adapted to many the other browsers is the coding and embedding of little functions called widgets into HTML pages. The pitfall with these types of javascript widgets is that they tend to display differently in each browser therefore it is sometimes necessary to write a different javascript code for each browser.

Russell Colley invented aviation stuff

Piloting aircrafts can be a daunting task but Russell Colley invented aviation stuff that would make the aviators flight safer.

Who was Russell Colley ?

Alan B. Shepard Jr, the American astronaut should be able to tell you that Russell Colley invented the pressurized suit. But that was just one of the this American inventor's invention. Try gadgets like the Riv-nut, the rubberized pneumatic deicer and other such devices.

Russell Colley was born in 1899, in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Surprinsingly enough Colley had shown interest in becoming a fashion designer early on in life. He also was showing himself to be very mechanically inclined. Supposedly, peer pressure led him to the Wentworth Institute of Mechanical Engineering where he graduated in 1918.

In 1928 the mechanical engineer was working in Akron, Ohio, for BF Goodrich the rubber people.

Russell Colley witnessed the entire birth of the aircraft industry and the massive WW1 aircraft innovations and then more. By 1935 he was married and using his wife's craft kits to put together a flight suit for a pilot called Wiley Post.

Russell Colley invented aviation stuff but he also designed. How much better can one combine his skills.

Wiley Post on the other hand was more of a dare devil and broke altitude and distance records for a living.

After his work at BF Goodrich Russell Colley joined NASA where he continued to innovate on his designs and invent new ones. In 1994 he received the Distiguished Public Service Award from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

His love for form and design never left him. Until his death in Springfield, Ohio, in 1996 Colley continued to dabble in the creative process.

He left behind many artifacts of his existence including water colour paintings, unique jewelery which he'd designed, and a list of 65 patents accredited to Russell Colley who invented aviation stuff.

Bushnell invents the submarine

The Revolutionary war is on and David Bushnell invents the submarine.

Bushnell was an American inventor who lived from 1742 to 1824.

A David Bushnell biography states that in 1639 Francis Bushnell came to the American continent and settled at a New Haven colony. He voyaged to America from England and co-founded a settlement which became Guilford, Connecticut. The son of Francis, the father of David Bushnell was farming in Saybrook, Connecticut when David was born. By the age of 24 both of David's parents had passed away and he and a brother inherited the farmland.

David Bushnell gives up his farmland opting to pursue some studies. By 1775 he'd graduated from Yale University. His interest in chemistry led him to experiment with gunpowder and he learned that this explosive could detonate under water.

He designed, again in 1775, the shell for what would come to be known as Bushnell's Turtle. This was the invention of the submarine. When he demonstrated this invention to the Connecticut Council of Safety they approved his idea and showed their appreciation by giving him grants for further innovations of the Bushnell Turtle concept.

The extra money granted to him did not lead to a torpedo launching submarine capable of destroying enemy targets and vessels.

By 1781 David Bushnell finds himself in the employ of General Washington where he holds a post of captain lieutenant for the sappers and miners. He is a commander of the Corps of Engineers at Westpoint by 1783. This position did not last very long and Bushnell disappeared from public life for about a decade.

The year is now 1795 and he is relocated in Columbia County, Georgia, where he is living under the alias of Dr. Bush and he is a school master. During this period he had learned the skills of a medicine man and opened up a private practice in Warrenton, Georgia.

In 1824 he dies after having practiced medicine for many years.

To summarize. Bushnell invents the submarine, becomes an exile, changes his name to Dr Bush and dies in Georgia.

As a side note - Chaining the Hudson is a book by Lincoln Diamant which gives the birth date of David Bushnell as 1740 - in this book we learn that "the water machine", the world's first submersible was also how the Bushnell Turtle was called. We are also told that Bushnell learned medicine while at Yale along with physics and advanced mathematics.

In another much older book called A history of American manufacturers we are told that while David Bushnell contrived a submersible vessel that submarine inventions were not new. In this book the Bushman submersible is called the American Turtle. Again from the same book we are told that while Bushnell invented other curious machines for annoying the enemy that none met any great success.

Was mylar an invention of area 51

To try to answer the question " Was mylar an invention of area 51 " military research we have to do a little digging into the history of this foil like plastic.

The above picture shows aviation technology printed on a mylar balloon and was found on a site called frequentflyersclub.

Both are interesting and those sites will gladly sell you either of those items.

On a more serious note however the question of was mylar an invention of area 51 experiments with state of the art materials that needed to remain top secrets and for the eyes of the military only was looked into by a Canadian recently who suggested that the alien conspiracy which includes advanced materials found at the site and covered up by the military was nothing more that them trying to keep this new material a secret.

Why ?

Biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate or boPET was a great electrical insulator and an advantage in aircraft technology. It was also very much like foil in reflective quality but unlike foil it had the ability to restabilize itself after undergoing stresses. boPET took on some trade names such has Mylar, Hostaphan, and Melinex.

This was happening in the 1950's when the companies DuPont and Imperial Chemistry Industries invented boPET.

What was found at area 51 was likely nothing more than some scraps of Mylar or boPET. The need to keep this information top secret is self evident. Military secrets give a country an advantage and if this stuff was being used in the development of more advanced air ships then picking the pieces of this stuff " which looked like it could only be made by an advanced alien species " after a crash would have been a wise move for the military personel.

Was mylar an invention of area 51 ? From this information the answer seems to be no. boPET is a Dupont invention with the credit of such materials going to others also.

The American chemical company DuPont was not new to supplying contracts to the military. They were founded in 1802 and ran a gunpowder mill for a long time. They became one of the biggest names in polymers and revolutionalized the materials used in industry by introducing products such as Mylar, M5 Fibers, Nomex, Teflon, some Freon derivatives, synthetic polymer paint pigments such as ChromaFlair and much more.

Does this mean all area 51 conspiracy theories are a hoax ?

Maybe and maybe not. The bigger question that effects humanity might be " What other secrets would the military hide from us and the enemy to keep their experiments classified as black ops ? "

The pet rock made it's inventor Gary Dahl a lot of money when it started a buyer's trend in April of 1975. Gary was 63 years old and in the advertising business working as an advertisement copywriter out of Califormia.

How much money did the inventor of the pet rock make ?

According to chacha.com Dahl sold enough pet rocks in six months to earn about 15 million dollars.

By some accounts Dahl got his pet rock idea into the market from a couple of investors who speculated on his idea. The venture was capitalized in part by Georges Coakley and John Heagherty.

At about four bucks a rock and hardly no markup one wonders how the Dragon Den guru's would have reacted to an appearance by the pet rock invention.

Face it. Dahl walks on stage and says to Arlene Dickinson of Kevin O'Leary, as he shows them a tiny rock with eyes painted on it, " I can see sales taking off to 10 million within a year".

O'Leary's flame would likely have been, " Look, I can't see a market for your pet rock but I might definitely see you in a straight jacket and having one of these in your recovery room. "

Frederick Koolhoven F K Series

Invention by design.

Frederick Koolhoven and the F K series of airplanes, like so many other early airplane designs and inventions in aeronautics, offer great insight into the methods of war which have shaped our modern civilization.

Koolhoven started out by buying a Hanriot aircraft in 1910 at the age of 24. From here he would combine his engineering training which he learned while working as an automobile engineer for Minerva Automobile and later the automobile factory called Spyker with his design concepts for air ships.

The Frederick Koolhaven F K Series follows up on his initial design of the Dutch Heidevogel.

Anthony Fokker was another airplane enthusiast from the Netherlands where Kool Haven was operating. Fokker came up with his first airplane called the Spider in 1911. Fokker would go on to dominate in this field in later years but first he had to relocate to a better market and found it in Germany where he founded a factory in Berlin.

FK or Fritz was designing airplanes for a British company called Deperdussin in 1912. In 1914 he moved on to Armstrong Whitsworth Aircraft where his name gained momentous popularity. The Armstrong Withworth Sissit was a single engined biplane and it stands as the F K 1. This airplane never left the prototype stage but set up a series of innovations for fighter aircrafts that would be contributed to the first World War by Armstrong Withworth.

The FK series continued to be produced when Frits returned to the Netherlands from England in 1920. Here he met up with the Fokker who would send him back to work as an automobile engineer for a while.

However within a few years he was back in the aircraft business with some shareholders. By 1938 the Second World War was at the doorsteps of humanity and the Fokker's operation continued to hold major market shares, the FK series was well received as a war plane.

Frederick Koolhoven died in 1946 and the N V Koolhoven Aeroplanes company became a holdings operation and 10 years later the Frederick Koolhaven FK series legacy ended as the company liquidated it's assets and closed.

Today the FK series lives on in replica models, in full size artifacts or museum pieces, and in pictures.

Aviation expert competitors were putting out similar aircraft designs such as the Bristol Scout, the Martinsyde S1, and the Sopwith Tabloid which were proving to be superior in commerciability.

The FK 1 or single bay tractor biplane was a 1913 design in aviation.

Armstrong Withworth were commissioned by the Royal Flying Corps and in 1914 WW1 commenced.

Rolfing lies somewhere between a massage and osteopathy claims an article on Toytown Germany.

Rolfing was invented by the first female PhD in America Dr. Ida Rolf . She was born in 1896 and started her professional studies at Barnard College. As a biochemist she joined the Rockefeller Institute of Medical Research. She then pursued studies at Columbia University and earned a PhD in 1920 ( Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons ).

By 1927 Ida Pauline Rolf had moved on to the Swiss Technical University of Zurich where she studied mathematics and atomic physics. During this period she gained knowledge that she would later turn into her theory of Structural Integration or Rolfing.

In 1971 she founded the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration which claims that somewhere between a massage and osteopathy lies a techniques of healing called Rolfing which is a" holistic system of soft tissue manipulation and movement education that organized the whole body in gravity".

Since then several holistic centers have integrated Dr Ida Rolf's Rolfing techniques into their programs. DaVinci's catapults

Leonardo DaVinci, the Rennaissance man, needs no introduction. Most people know of this genius through the many books of history that mention great inventors, thinkers, and people who have influenced change.

Are DaVinci's catapults the invention of these cross bow like war machines?

DaVinci lived from 1452 to 1519 and the catapult was in use in much earlier times. The Romans used them in war. As the legions of soldiers moved about to conquer or defend they would carry the ropes and fasteners and would use local wood to built and erect the foundation of the catapult.

Leonardo's drawings of catapults show that he was considering the spring action of leaf springs in the redesigning of a much older weapon. (1)

Leaf springs are simple springs that are built up of layers or leaves. One advantage of a leaf spring is that the end of spring can be designed in a way to send a trajectory along a guided path. Another advantage of a leaf spring is that it can be built of wooden layers which gives Davinci's catapults the same potential as a cross bow.

Catapults are like ballistas. The ballista was likely a Greek invention and came into being when inventors gained knowledge about tension spring. The Romans inherited the tension powered ballista technology from the Greeks.

The difference between a ballista and a catapult is that a ballista shoots a projectile on more of a curved arc than a catapult. War weapons like Davinci's catapults throw a trajectile more like a heavy cannon. The Romans ended up using the word ballista to describe all such weapons. (2)

A hero of productive ability. That's how Georges Eastman was described on a youTube video named Happy 150th birthday Georges Eastman.

Why a hero ?

Try his contributions to education. He contributed to the development of several schools in the domain of music, dentistry, medicine. He was a hero of productive ability in Rochester.

Eastman knew how to make gelatine emulsion plates but by discovering that sulphur added to this emulsion could make a much better and longer lasting photo he had an edge on the competition.

He was making money from his inventions and innovations in photography and converting these funds to help his community.

Georges Eastman was born on July 12, 1854. He was not deemed much of an academic during his early schooling. His father moved the family to Rochester when Georges was only five. Here Georges Washington Eastman, the father worked on establishing a College. Perhaps George the son got his inspiration for his heroism in the passing of his father who hadn't had a chance to complete the College project.

The fathers passing left the family poor and George went to work at 3$ weekly for an insurance company. Some years later he tried banking and then grew fond of photography. By the age of 24 he was convinced that he would find a better and simpler process of photography at a time when photographers made their own gelatin emulsion plates.

A cow of an accident wrote the next chapter of the George Eastman story.

He passed away in 1932. The hero of productive ability, the inventor, the marketer, the philanthropist, the visionary, was chronically ill and took his life.

From 1744 to 1817 this inventor used his engineering knowledge to innovate on mechanical instruments. Lovell was born in Bath Somerset, England and died in Ireland. From a four whealed open carriage to a simple turnip cutter he could think big and small. Maria Edgeworth was one of his 22 children and she was a novel writer who found inspiration in her inventor father. Richard Lovell Edgewater was married four times.

Who wouldn't give a million dollars to say " My father invented plywood " ?

That's part of the foundation behind the inventor Alfred Bernhard Nobel.

Not to be outdone perhaps or just because he was a genius more likely the son of Immanuel and Andriette goes on to invent dynamite and receives an early epithet as "Le marchant de la mort" or "The merchant of Death" from a French newspaper that mistakenly wrote up an obituary about Alfred Nobel. His brother Ludwig had indeed died in 1888.

Alfred Nobel was born in Stockholm, Sweden on October 21, 1833 and died of complication from a stroke in Italy on December 10, 1896.

His father was also the owner of a torpedo factory which he operated out of Saint Petersburg in Russia.

As an academic he started out as a protege of Professor Nikolay Nikolaevich Zinin. He followed up by travelling to the US where he furthered is knowledge of chemistry while working for John Ericsson the Swedish-American inventor.

By 1847 Alfred Nobel had thrown his energy towards explosives. In this same year Ascanio Sobrero discovered nytroglycerine. This substance along with some sawdust likely from the plywood factory led to the invention of dynamite by Alfred while in Krummel, Germany. He received a patent for dynamite in 1867.

This was only one of 355 different patents that he was awarded.

Long story short, Nobels inventions made him filthy rich. Part of his fortune was a company called Bofors, a major armaments factory located in Sweden. This company was founded some years earlier but the Boofors legacy within the iron industry spanned back to no less than 1646. Nobel owned Bofors for a few year from 1894 to his death in 1896.

Today Nobel's name is associated with high achievement and creative people are honoured with the Nobel prize. Sometimes the prize is controversially awarded such as was the case with the recent judgement of awarding serving US President Obama with the Nobel Peace Award.

The money left behind in trust by Alfred Nobel is the foundation of the Nobel Prize and it was a last will and testament of the inventor of dynamite.

Many stories go that Teddy Roosevelt is the person who invented the teddy bear.

That's information worth investigating. Teddy Roosevelt of course was the 26th President of the United States of America and lived from 1858 to 1919 and took over the presidency from William McKinley in 1901 and served until 1909 when the top job in America was taken over by William Howard Taft.

As for who invented the teddy bear here's how it goes according to page 128 of Shelby County Indiana : Histories and Families by the Turner Publishing Company.

The American middle class was in the midst of political and social reform in the first decade of the 20th century, the period called the Progressive Era. President "Teddy" Roosevelt was the champion of the "strenuous life" and his interest in the great outdoors led to the creation of a new toy, the "Teddy" Bear, which little girls were soon cuddling. On a hunting trip in 1902, to Mississippi, Roosevelt refused to kill a small bear. The Washington Star published a cartoon of the incident, and a local toy maker sewed a stuffed bear similar to that in the cartoon. Roosevelt gave permission to name it "Teddy" Bear. These toys appeared in stores in 1903. One small manufacturer made over 900,000 bears in 1907 alone.

So there you have the answer to who invented the teddy bear. Well maybe not quite.

Should the credit for the invention of this particular stuffed bear go to the person who started calling the President "Bear" or to Berryman who used the concept in a cartoon, or to the toymaker who made the first "Teddy" Bear ?

The plush or stuffed bear, those not named "teddy" existed much earlier than this.

Here's information about the fireplace invention and innovations that makes this heating device and cooking device what it is today. It all started with the wood fireplace and no one knows exactly when the first one was designed. Of course the paleolithic stoneage fireplaces were made of stone and many great modern fireplaces continue to use mostly stone structures to provide a hearth for heating the home of for outdoor cooking.

Fast forward to the 1600's and suddenly the ability to work in metals has advanced civilizations way ahead of the time of stone workers and the knowledge of gases is expanding. Charles I of England, the man who thought himself to be divinely ordained and who insulted enough people to the point where one such group decided to execute him was the uncle of Rupert, Count Palatine of the Rhine and Duke of Bavaria. They were related through Prince Rupert's mother, Winter Queen or Elizabeth Stuart. Prince Rupert amongst other things was an inventor.

According to some sources he innovated on earlier fireplaces by simply raising the grating of the fireplace whereby accomodating for a better venting system.

Then, again in the 1600's Benjamin Franklin comes along and refines the conventional fireplace by adding a convection chamber and also innovating on the venting system. Franklin's name continues to this day to be used with fine fireplaces. Come the 1700's Count Rumford innovated the firebox which allowed for a more efficient method of moving the smoke about.

From the wood and coal burning fireplace to gas and electric powered fireplaces.

According to one source, (fireplace.co.uk) William Murdoch comes along in 1812 and introduces gas lighting to the world. Another source gives the credit of discovering illuminating gases to Philippe Lebon while yet another states it must be Dr John Clayton who discovered the concept of tapping gas to heat the home of to cook with.

Regardless by the 1900's gas and electricity was being used as an alternate source of power for the heating instruments used in the home.

The shell of these modern fireplaces often imitate the old cast iron fireplaces or the stone workers outdoor pit or the open interior stone firepits. Heat is heat and it burns hot and it can burn down a house therefore all fireplaces regardless of their source of heat are designed with products that insulate the surrounding area.

So there you have a quick overview of the way the fireplace invention and innovations came to pass.

When you do a search on who invented the automatic answering machine usually the names of Willy Muller or Mueller and Benjamin Thornton come up.
This device used to record phone messages while the receiver remains on the telephone has been referred as an ansafone, an answerphone, or just simply the automatic telephone answering device.

To confuse matters just a little more about who invented the answering machine we find the following pictures on a site called Recording History with this information to support the possibility that Thomas Alva Edison should receive credit for the invention.

"Edison recognized the need right away, developing a technology designed for telephone recording in 1877, merely months later than the announcement of the telephone in 1876. Unfortunately, his first telephone recorder did not work, but fortunately it could be used for other purposes. He called it the phonograph. "

Then in 1900 a Danish inventor named Valdemar Poulson invented the telegraphone. It worked in recording phone messages but not automatically. Edison answered back ( no pun intended ) in 1914 with a gadget called the Telescribe. Then in the 1920's several inventors worked on wax cylinder concepts including Truman Steven who patented what could be considered legitimate answering machines.

In 1935 Willy Mueller a Swiss inventor commercialized an innovative invention to replace the old technology used in telephone recording devices. His answering machine was based on clock technology and could both record and send messages. It was however a huge device standing 3 feet in height. Meanwhile in the US Benjamin Thornton makes his contribution in 1936. Ipsophon was introduced in 1936 and worked on a magnetic tape concept. This was the Benjamin Thornton contribution.

UFO stories are common nowadays but who invented the story of Area 51 ?

This American military base is situated 133 km or 83 miles NW of the gambling mecca of Nevada, in the southern portion of the desert state. By some accounts it is the secret headquarters of paranormal alien activity which has been hidden in the secret vaults of American black ops.

But who invented the story of Area 51 as the military base is more commonly referred to ?

The area is surrounded by four mountain ranges.

From information on spartechsoftware we learn that in the 1950's U2 spy planes were developed and tested in the area. In 1962 a prototype of the SR 71 Blackbird was tested here. Later on stealth fighter jets such as the F 11 A Nighthawk was also tested at the site. And according to the same source perhaps a new breed of supersonic plane is being tested here even today known as the Aurora which could fly and mind boggling speeds of MACH 7. These planes are rumoured to be using combinations of jet engines and pulse-detonation wave engines. (Star Trek stuff !!!)

The alien aspect of Area 51 or the invention of such starts in the 1950's also and introduces the small town of Rachel, Nevada into the story. It's a small town built on a farm and named after Rachel Jones. It's the Twilight Zone lost in space and a Mars like valley and the few hundred residents here have grown accustomed to being blasted by the occasional supersonic boom. Little Rachel Jones passed away when she was only three but the story of Rachel grew in popularity when Las Vegas resident Bob Lazar in November of 1989 went public with some controversial claims of UFO experiments being conducted in the secured Area 51 military compound.

The Lazar story went that he and some friends had visited Tikaboo Valley on a Wednesday night in April 1989 to watch the testing of alien crafts, or flying machines designed on the concept of reverse engineering of UFO technology. This had to be on a Wednesday since the instruments were only tested on this day.

Tikaboo Valley is 25 miles ahead of Rachel on H375. When his claims were made in November they were an invitation to waves of visitor or UFO gazers to that spot which came to be known as the Black Mailbox while others ventured to the nearby town of Rachel.

So the answer to who invented the story of Area 51 could well be Bob Lazar.

Lazar's story goes further where he supports his alien conspiracy claims by stating that he'd been part of the secret ops as an employee of S-4 ( Sector Four at Groom Lake ) in 1988-89 who'd worked the Papoose Lake alien spacecraft which was well hidden inside a mountain range; inside the Nellis Range which is the Nevada Test and Training Range ( NTTR ) renamed Nellis Air Force Range ( NAFR ) in 2001.

The terrain enclosed by the range is characterized by numerous small ranges of mountains, with the area between consisting of desert, including small endorheic lakes. Lazar says there were nine seperate discs and that as an employee he was given secret information about alien activity on this planet starting some 10 thousand years in the past.

The Lazar story of alien activity and reverse engineering technology being developed in the Nevada desert have been interesting and have awakened the UFOlogists in many people yet mainstream media and scholars have been quick to point to him as a charlatan or snake oil salesman. His claims of education in the field of technology at places like the California Institute of Technology and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have been called "bogus" and no records are found of his attendence at these colleges. He claims on the other hand that these institutions destroyed the evidence as part of a black op conspiracy.

In the industrial age this novelty steel was more affordable and was well accepted by builders of bridges, buildings, and other foundations. The years previous to the invention of air infusion into molten metal steelworkers worked mostly with cast iron.

Kelly was born in Pittsburgh. His father owned a foundry. Upon graduating from Metallurgy studies at Western U in Pennsylvania he opts to go into business with his brother and brother in law. They form McShane and Kelly in a warehouse which later burns down.

In 1846 the two brothers purchase a iron working factory in Eddyville and move to Eddyville, Kentucky in 1847. This new company in the iron industry is renamed Kelly & Company and this is where William Kelly begins experimenting with the process of air boiling steel. Henry Bessemer was working on a similar process and beat Kelly to a patent. Another contender for this inventive method of blasting iron into steel was approached by Robert Forester Mushet.

By some accounts Kelly reports that insider information might have brought his secret into the labs of Bessemer.

Regardless, Kelly did receive patent no. 17, 628 in 1857 for an innovative iron industry product which he described as

" Blowing blast of air, either hot or cold, up or through a mass of liquid iron, the oxygen in the air, combining with the carbon in the iron, causing a greatly increased heat and boiling commotion in the fluid mass and decarbonizing and refining the ore."

This patent was a joint ownership with Bessemer.

Bessemer Steel got the best of the steel industry market but the faith of both parties was not so great.

In 1871 Kelly's patent was renewed by the US Patent Office while the rights of ownership of the two others was rejected.

Kelly sold the patent rights in later years due to financial instabilities. He relocated to Louisville, Kentucky, and went on to work as an ax manufacturer, with interest in real estate and banking.

These high end bits, usually diamond tipped, are replaced by heated tips that do not touch the rock surface and that are power by the extreme heats provided by nature or the geothermal influence.
